Salary: £360 – £480 per day

Reporting to the Head of Product Optimisation, the purpose of this role is to lead formulation work for post-launch product optimisation pipeline projects across Surface and Skin Disinfection (and potentially Wound) sub-categories. Typically, these will be projects where a formulation has already been developed and launched in a key market, however, a modification for a new market is required for e.g. regulatory reasons. The role also encompasses formulation of ‘next generation 2.0’ products where required.

What will you do?

* Lead formulation work for post launch product optimisation pipeline projects – as part of a product optimisation and technical transfer team working at the interface of R&D and Supply Chain

* Support projects where a formulation has already been developed and launched in a key market, and/or where a modification for a new market is required for e.g. regulatory reasons

* Provide expertise in formulation of ‘next generation 2.0’ products where required

* Work collaboratively with analytical and microbiology scientists in the Product Optimisation team to deliver projects on time for launch

* Work closely with formulation scientist(s) in the Product Development team to understand how products have been formulated for initial launch

What will you need?

* BSc experience in chemistry or formulation science

* Prior experience in working in formulation in the disinfection field as part of a product development team or technical transfer team working at the interface of R&D and Supply Chain/Operations would be advantageous

* Experience in working as a formulation scientist in a product development or technical transfer team within a commercially focused FMCG and/or Medical Devices and/or fast moving, innovative, science-based environment
