Salary: £32,449 – £35,492 per year

School Site/Premises Manager

V-Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with one of the UKs most forward thinking, recognised and respected Multi-Academy Trusts to recruit a Permanent Site Manager for one of their academies based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire as soon as possible.

This is a permanent role 

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 with 5 years’ service)

£32,449.2 – £35,492.4 Per Annum

Working hours are on a rota basis, Monday to Friday to cover all site hours, which are usually 7am-6pm (some flexibility may be required)

Your main duties will be to ensure the provision of a high-quality environment for the students and staff, in all areas of the school and grounds. This will include, but not be limited to, planned and reactive maintenance duties across the interior of the school, grounds maintenance and some landscaping, setting up of areas for school events, including exams and productions. Some cleaning duties may be required, alongside the dedicated cleaning team.

The successful candidate will have experience in Multi-trade or a Site Maintenance-related environment or a related trade with transferable skills. Reporting to the Academy Business Manager, you will be responsible for the direct line management of the two members of the site team (site supervisor & site assistant) as well as the team of 10 cleaning staff – therefore you will need to be a strong leader and be able to provide efficient and effective support to the Business Manager and Principal.

You will need to have a proven track record of managing Health & Safety, ensuring all RAMS are relevant and updated, working closely with subcontractors including inducting/toolbox talks and checking quality of work. Although large projects are managed Centrally, you will develop and manage small projects up to £50k so must have experience in managing premises budgets, processing purchase orders, checking work done in respective of payment of invoices etc.

The chosen candidate will be personable, confident, and professional and take pride in all aspects of their work. We are looking to recruit someone with energy and enthusiasm who will be able to lead and work as an integral part of a busy and hardworking team. Of course, you will have to have excellent personal skills, as you will be working as part of the wider school staff-body ensuring the safeguarding and quality experience of all students.
