Porter / Concierge

Our client a dynamic property company based in London is looking for a first class Concierge to start ASAP. You will be based at one of their residential blocks in West London and your hours are likely to be 08:00am -17:00pm Mon – Fri and Sat 10:00am – 15:00pm

You will have control access to the property and your duties are ensuring all visitors sign the visitor’s book, inspect the perimeter of the property on a daily basis, checking all main and fire exits at ground level are securely locked, monitor CCTV camera screens to detect any suspicious activity and question any unexpected person as to the purpose of their presence on the property. You are required to assist residents with cumbersome items of reasonable weight, note attendance of contractors to common parts, inspect every floor at least once per day, check and replace blown light-bulbs and remove any stray items left abandoned in passageways and on fires escapes and manage cleaning staff. You are also required to note down names and contact details of new tenants, maintain awareness of proper safety precautions at all times, ensure any undue noise/disturbance or other nuisance to residents is quickly ceased and report to directors and managing agent persistent problems which have not/cannot be resolved alone. Other duties include ensuring central heating is operating, call emergency contracts when required, distribute circulars to residents, briefing evening porter daily upon handover and perform any additional duties assigned by the directors and managing agent.

The successful candidate must be well presented and have a warm and friendly manner and have experience in a similar role. You have to have strong attention to detail, be organised and efficient, have the ability to act as first point of contact, have good communication skills, able to use own initiative and be flexible to cope with a number of different demands at any one time.
