The Planning Manager is responsible for supplying an optimised plan to the business, balancing operational efficiency with customer demand, at the right cost. The Planning Manager creates and maintains a short, medium and long term capacity planning model, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources.

Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join a leading food manufacturer.
The Planning Manager is the integration point into the sales and commercial organisation, and leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing as part of the S&OP process.
Responsibilities include develop deliverable plans for the 4 key manufacturing processes as part of a demand planning function; Manage a small team of planners; Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results; Coordinate cross-functional research activities; Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers; Utilise a collaborative and consensus approach and ensure that current and accurate information is used to create the most optimised plan; And provide input to the Supply Planning organisation.
You will create deliverable operational plans; Review sales plans for risks and opportunities; Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts; Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion into the S&OP process; Provide input to volume planning; And facilitate and manage demand planning/customer meetings to achieve consensus within the supply chain.
Profile
You will have a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years in FMCG / food manufacturing, and previous experience in implementing S&OPs.
You will have strong analytical skills in statistics, planning and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts; Strong IT/systems use, with very good Excel skills; Demonstrate a knowledge of S&OP and the demand planning process; and strong experience in Demand and Supply Planning.
