Planner

Salary: £19.2 per hour

AM Recruitment are looking for a Planner to work for a growing client of ours.

You will be responsible for the whole process from customer order to shipment. This is an extremely customer focussed role.

Some key responsibilities are…

* Direct liaison with clients (UK and European based), third parties and internal departments for the safe movement of product via road / ship and direct pipeline

* Dealing with customer requests to strict deadlines

* Planning movement of product both efficiently for the client but also in the best interests of operations in a safe manner.

* Processing of orders in the SAP / Automated road systems and other customer systems for all movements of product

* Managing inventory accurately inline with Standards and HMRC legislation

* Ensuring product availability at all times for customers

* Taking responsibility for producing accurate documentation in relation to Customs documentation and EAD (Electronic Accompanying Documents) in line with HMRC.

* Managing operations in line with commercial requirements.

* Working in conjunction with a number of departments to meet goals and requirements of the business / clients.

* Proactive approach, a self- starter

* A good team player with strong communication skills and time management

* Ability to solve problems, react to ever changing requirements and make decisions in a fast paced deadline driven environment

* Attention to detail, ability to produce quality work under pressure

* Planning experience in a fast paced environment, more logistics and demand planning than production planning

* Natural affinity for numbers

* Ability to build relationships with customers, third parties and hauliers

* Flexibility regarding working pattern due to shift system and on call rota

* A good service approach both externally and internally to clients
