Production Planner

Salary: £18 – £19.2 per hour

ADM Protexin Ltd manufacture innovative, research based live bacteria products of the highest quality for the veterinary, human, agriculture and equine healthcare markets. With head office, manufacturing and distribution facilities based in Somerset, ADM Protexin distribute to over 90 countries worldwide. 

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the role is responsible for the successful planning of all production activities:

• Plan and prepare the production schedules for manufacture of all products within specified lead times.
• Plan and schedule workflow for each manufacturing operation according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Work with planning team to ensure stock levels of certain finished products are available at all times.
• Analyse production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
• Support the Planning Manager and wider business with additional tasks and projects to ensure optimal efficiency is achieved within the manufacturing facility.
• To create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, constantly challenging current working practice.

Your Profile

• A strong understanding of production planning in a fast moving manufacturing environment is essential for this role.
• Experience of working with ERP or MRP systems is essential, as are excellent IT skills, especially in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and experience of building relationships with colleagues across the business.
