PHP Developer – 30k – Fareham

My client a leading software house based on the south coast are currently looking for an experienced, talented Web Developer with experience in PHP development to join their current team of Developers and work on innovative web solutions. As Web Developer, you will be involved in new product development, promotion and maintenance of existing sites. Experience of coding in PHP5, HTML/Javascript and MySQL is required. Experience is not as important as a willingness and enthusiasm to learn and progress. Those without experience of Zend will also be considered, as training is available.

Required:
*Solid knowledge of Object Oriented PHP.
*Solid foundation in MySQL queries.
*Solid database structuring ability (Normalisation, Indexing).
*Ability to write neat, consistent and secure code.
*Basic XHTML/CSS/JS.
*Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Desirable
*Ability to create applications in Zend Framework.
*Experience of high traffic scenario web development.
*Experience of caching techniques such as Memcache / Redis.
*Database optimisation techniques (Storage Engines, Advanced Indexing and De-Normalisation).
*An eye for design and usability.
*Experience in creating rich websites (AJAX / jQuery / XML / JSON)
*Knowledge of Doctrine ORM

Salary is £26,000 – £36,000 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, i.e. Dental, BUPA, subsidised gym membership, end of year bonus, days out etc.
