Personal Trainer / Casual Sports Assistant
Job Description
Are you a qualified Personal Trainer able to commit 10 hours per week working in a dynamic gym environment? In return, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities for your personal training sessions with clients. How about an exciting role working on a military estate in support of our Army customers? Join a great team at Aspire Defence Services…
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a professional service within Aldershot Garrison’s leisure facilities. Your key responsibilities include effective supervision of fitness facilities, maintaining a high-profile presence by interacting with clients, and ensuring availability to assist gym users.
Conducting gym inductions in accordance with the centre’s Standards & Procedures is crucial, providing ongoing advice and guidance on safe exercise practices. Ensuring cleanliness during shifts and conducting maintenance checks are integral to this role.
Essential qualifications include a level 3 Fitness Instructor Qualification, excellent communication skills and a commitment to high customer service levels. Desirable qualifications encompass experience in a gym environment, good numeracy and literary skills, the ability to work unsupervised, and attention to detail. We value self-motivated individuals who are self-assured and possess a keen understanding of the fitness industry.
As a successful candidate, you will communicate clearly, work effectively with others, and prioritise customer satisfaction. Your understanding of ADSL’s goals, standards, and values will be crucial in delivering a service that exceeds expectations.
But first, meet the team…
With a 35-year contract, making soldiers’ lives better is at the heart of everything we do at Aspire Defence Services.

We’re all about nurturing great teams, and our award-winning safety and wellbeing initiatives are built on keeping an eye out for one another and having a good work-life balance.
