Salary: £32,400 – £38,400 per year

Payroll Manager – Liverpool – £32,400 – £38,400 + benefits + bonus

Due to continued growth and expansion we are now looking to recruit a Payroll Manager for our offices based in Liverpool,

As part of the Finance Team, this position is to successfully manage the payroll functions. Ideally, you will hold a recognised qualification in payroll (i.e. CIPP qualified) or have demonstrable experience in payroll management.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm but hours are flexible. There is also the opportunity to work from home.

Qualifications/Experience

* Ideally, hold a recognised qualification in payroll (i.e. CIPP qualified) or have demonstrable experience in payroll management.

* Ideally have experience processing large temporary worker payrolls, creating numerous imports files to manage the large payroll volumes.

* A good working knowledge of payroll/HR systems, with expertise in the Sage 50 package.

* Experience of line managing staff previously is essential.

* Experience managing external stakeholders’ payrolls would be desirable.

Skills Required:

* Strong analytical abilities together with an eye for detail and an excellent understanding of payroll processing.

* Strong people management skills including a track record of developing and motivating a team and inspiring others to deliver.

* Exceptional planning and organisation skills.

* Personable nature and the ability to communicate effectively with staff across the business at all levels as well as external stakeholders.

* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, being able to manipulate large data sets.

* Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

* Up to date knowledge of correct payroll legislation is essential.

* IdeallySage 50 payroll experience

* Experience using payroll bureau payroll software.

* Experience linking payroll reports to financial reporting
