COVENTRY (3 DAYS OFFICE/2 DAYS REMOTE)

£35K – £45K

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll professional to join an exciting and growing company, in Coventry. This Payroll Manager position will act as the main point of contact between the company and the Payroll provider they use. It will support the business with any payroll issues and escalate to the managed service provider, where necessary. The Payroll Manager role will manage two Payroll Coordinators.

THE PAYROLL MANAGER ROLE:

• Liaise with Managers/ Colleagues regarding change in pay eg/ reduction in pay due to change of hours etc
• Update employee information relating to Tax Codes, Student Loans etc
• Inform the provider of any changes to payroll
• Maintain list of authorised signatories
• Pensions administration and process – update provider with information regarding new starters, leavers etc
• Innovate and develop continuous improvement when it comes to payroll processes
• Process and non-BACS payments as required
• Notify the payroll provider upon completion of input for each payroll period
• Troubleshooting errors in payroll system (iTrent)
• Managament of the internal payroll query process
• Other duties as required

THE SUCCESSFUL PAYROLL MANAGER:

• Innovative, driven and passionate in your approach to process improvement and payroll
• iTrent experience is ESSENTIAL
• Ability to take complex issues and simplify them for non payroll colleagues
• Truly engage with stakeholders – approachable
• Experience of working with payroll providers and MSP is desirable
• Ability to multi task – working and focusing on multiple things at once
• Act as a coach to the Payroll Coordinators
