Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 per year

We deliver innovative, business critical and cost reducing IT solutions to both private and public sector organisations.
We now have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join us at our European Headquarters in Birmingham to lead and support our payroll function in order to deliver payroll excellence to our UK employees and to fully comply to the legal demands of HMRC.
Responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of all Group and associated companies Payroll, as per set / tight deadlines.
* Management of the Payroll team
* Reconciliation of all payroll transactions and costing to the nominal postings
.
* Liaison and compliance with HMRC regulatory requirements including timely returns, RTI filings, salary sacrifice schemes etc.
* Preparation of P11D’s and submission to the HMRC by set dates.
* Working closely with SCC Managers to approve and process commission payments.
* Reporting, reconciliation and payment of pension contributions.
* Work closely with HR function to ensure continuity of reporting and data transfer to Payroll.
* Regulate BACS transmissions.
* Any ad-hoc duties within the HR / Payroll Department.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* CIPP qualified, having worked in an Assistant Payroll Manager capacity or Payroll Manager looking for a fresh challenge..
* Exposure to working for a large business with multiple payrolls and 1000 plus payroll.
* A sound knowledge of, and ability to apply, payroll procedures and legislation.
* Knowledge of Pension Schemes is essential.
* A high degree of numeracy, accuracy and the ability to use Excel and Word efficiently.
* The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Discretion, tact, diplomacy and tolerance
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate to people at all levels
* Experience of dealing with commission plans would be advantageous.
