Carbon60 global is recruiting for a Paint Shop Treatment Operator to join a renowned global aerospace precision manufacturing company on a contract to permanent basis.
Based in Middlesex, this company manufactures and supplies precision parts to customers worldwide. Renowned for their quality, they are looking for someone who will meet these high standards.
Reporting to the Paint Shop Cell Leader, the successful candidate will apply specialised coatings to assemblies, components, and piece parts in accordance with work instructions and/or process specifications.
To achieve this, the following methods will be used:
� Conventional wet spraying of paints and epoxy materials.
� Dry powder coating using a fluidising bed and/or an electrostatic process.
� Impregnation using vacuum or trickle techniques.
� Alocrom Dipping Process
� Oven curing of applied materials after coating.
� Cleaning of items prior to coating.
� Visual inspection prior to, and after coating.
� Rectification and rework of minor defects.
� You will be expected to liaise and communicate with other members of staff on a day to day basis for the purpose of work assignment and scheduling, and for any other purpose connected with your job.
� You will be expected to participate in any improvement activity that affects the performance of your job.
� Where personal protective equipment is provided, you will be required to use it.
� You will be expected to communicate freely on any problems or quality issues that you encounter during the performance of your duties.
� You must be willing to learn new techniques and skills, as processes and equipment are developed and improved.
� You will be expected to be aware, and keep to, the Quality standards set by the Company.
� You may be required to pass on knowledge gained, and assist in the training of others within the Company.
� Adhere to Health and Safety requirements at all times.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the above but training is provided and the post holder will only be expected to carry out these duties once appropriate training has been completed.
The interview process will include a manual skills test, a colour blindness test and a dexterity test.
