Paint Sprayer – Sheet Metal Applications

We are seeking an experienced WET Paint Spray Technician, to join a Sheet Metal Fabrication company in the Brighton/Worthing area.

You will need to be proficient in prep work (surface cleaning and Masking), Priming and final application through to inspection. Experience is Essential.

Key Duties:

• Follow the work instructions detailing the requirements for surface preparation, priming and finishing.
• Ensure surfaces to be painted are clean and free from oil and/or grease.
• Ensure surfaces which are to be left paint-free are properly masked.
• Be proficient in the use of cleaning, preparation and paint spraying equipment (use of pneumatic tools).
• Remove all masking and suitably protect components prior to passing to stores.
• Conduct self-inspections of finished product to ensure it is to the required acceptance standard.
• Work to schedules and production plan.
• Be familiar with data sheets for all products used in the paint shop and identify possible hazards.

Experience and skills required:
• Proficient and experienced in the use of Wet Coat, industrial spray applications.
• Experienced in sheet metal prep, masking and finishing.
• Able to take pride in your work, both with the desired finish and general maintenance of the Spray equipment.
