Packers (Shift Work)

Seasonal Packers required for the Hengoed Area

Shift Work- Days, Nights, Afternoons

Full time- 37.5 hours a week

Expected to last until approx November/December

Working on assembly lines, box assembling and general packing duties.

Packing operatives required to work in a well known gift wrap company in Hengoed, on a temporary ongoing basis.

Position: Packer

Duration: Approximately 10 months, forecasted end date of November 2016. This is not guaranteed and is subject to production demands

Shifts: Weekly rotation of Days, Nights and Afternoons
Hours of work: 8 hour shifts, five days per week.
Salary: £26,000per year, dependant on living wage and AWR criteria
Benefits:
On site parking
Holiday accrual of up to 28 days per annum, subject to hours worked
Increase in Salary: and holiday accrual after 12 weeks of employment
Full time ongoing work for season

Duties involve;

* Packing goods on fast paced production line
* Organising goods into boxes for dispatch
* Following strict guidelines and procedures
* Assembling boxes
* Labelling and stacking boxes
* Lifting loads
* Transporting goods through different areas of the factory
* Fast paced packing off the end of machines
* Reporting to shift managers and production managers
* Working toward strict targets

Skills Required:

* Production experience
* Good degree of dexterity in order to maintain speed of production line
* Ability to work from instructions
* Good time management skills
* Ability to work toward targets

* Due to the location and hours worked, ideally candidates will have their own mode of transport to ensure they can make all shifts.
