Operations Supervisor

A global nuclear industry leader is seeking to recruit a Nuclear Operations Supervisor,
on a project covering several sites UK wide with a central base in Gloucestershire.

Job Description:

The role involves all field operations for various nuclear processes to include Materials Retrievals / Nuclear Waste, Transportation, Processing and Packaging).

To be influential in new plant start up activities and the creation of planning improvements.

Accountable for the mentoring and training of nuclear operators to ensure procedure, safety and compliance performance is performed at a high level.

Development of strategies to reduce schedules and costs relating to a variety of nuclear operations.

Support and oversee all nuclear operations with the ability to create innovation ideas relating
to process improvement programmes.

Maintain and development strong working relations combined with positive team thinking relating to continuous improvements.

Continually strive for best practice and first in class nuclear operation solutions.

Promote a strong compliance and safety culture.

Job Requirements:

Degree qualified, minimum of BSc or BEng (Hons) in an Scientific or Engineering Field.

Highly experienced in the following: treating, tracking, handling, disposing and transporting
a broad range of Intermediate and Low Lever Nuclear Waste.

Must have a proven trans record within the nuclear industry on management projects.

Can demonstrate capability in Continuous Improvement and Lean processes.

Must have prior expertise in working within highly regulated nuclear sites.

Excellent People and Safety Leadership Skills.

Flexible and adaptable in travelling to various UK sites.
