An Operations Manager is required to join an extremely successful & established leading OE Automotive parts manufacturer. Excellent opportunity to work for a thriving international corporation.

Ideal Location –West Midlands, Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, Worcester, Wolverhampton, Solihull, Warwick, Lichfield

£35-40k (dependent on experience) + Benefits

The Role
• Develop and improve all aspects of the Logistics and Operations function.
• Plan the appropriate SKU’s and ensure the stock levels meet requirements to achieve maximum coverage in the UK.
• Manage and maintain logistics and operations staff adopting Kaizen activities.
• Manage and develop inventory range to the required demand level.
• Manage, control and organize labour to achieve the daily performance level of output and accuracy.
• Employee Health and Safety endorsement and site training.
• Lead Kaizen process improvement activities within the facility.
• To instruct and communicate with customer service on day to day activities.
• Problem solve with customer issues or concerns and oversee all invoices and credits.
• QM report for the site.
• Ensure all shipping points are maintained and up to date.

The Candidate

• Professional qualifications in logistics or relevant experience.
• Customer Relationship Management trained.
• Previous man-management experience.
• Excellent standard of communication skills from Director to shop floor level internally and externally.
• Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of logistics functions within an SAP System.
• Demonstrate a track record of performance improvements and delivering continuous improvement.
• Microsoft Office skills required, preferable Excel and Powerpoint
• Articulate with strong interpersonal and organizational skills is essential.
• A second language would be an advantage (German, Spanish or French).
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of UK /Irish car parc in relation to planning, stock holding, to maximize sales and minimize inventory.
