Goodall Brazier are delighted to be leading the search for an operations manager for a highly reputable, family orientated mid-sized healthcare provider with a strong presence in the North East of England. The organically grown company is renowned for providing luxury care to people with Dementia, Physical disability and Old age.
Job Description
*To assist and advice senior management on acquisition of new sites/homes
*To be and act as a vital link between the management and the homes.
*To ensure all homes achieve set budgets and targets and offer a quality service to all our clients.
* Provide support and advice to the homes.
*To provide continual monitoring of home managers, their staff, files and records to ensure contractual and statutory obligations are met (via audits and visits).
*Update all policies and procedures with the guidance of the MD/ COO/CEO.
*Ensure a consistent and professional image is portrayed by the homes.
*To provide cover for managers while on annual leave or meetings that they have been pre-booked, also
to cover managers while on sick leave.
*To be the recognised line manager to all home managers.
* To assist home managers in preparing for local authority inspections, compliance with CQC standards,
and attend all such inspections and relevant meetings with home managers or other purchasers/clients
as necessary.
*To create marketing plans for the company and each home.
*To ensure planned expansion and development.
*To research and maintain accessible information regarding markets, competitors, purchasers and changes in the care sector.
*To hold regular meetings with the Finance team.
*To ensure the homes are run effectively both operationally and financially.
*To liaise with other training professionals, bodies/organisations and co-ordinate training requirements
with HR.
* Above all be flexible in the working role as Operations Manager and assist where help is most needed i.e. homes and other establishments.
*To prepare weekly and monthly management reports for senior management on an agreed format with copies to head office for proper documentation. To liaise with suppliers to ensure continuity of quality service.
Desired Skills and Experience
*The successful applicant will be RMN/RGN
*Regional/multi-site experience
*Experience of working in the healthcare sector and have detailed knowledge in relation to the management of older person’s services.
*Successful track record of turn around homes, Budgeting and profit margins.
*People management skills will be critical for this post so applicants will need to demonstrate their experience managing difficult situations and achieve successful outcomes.
