One of the UK`s leading Energy companies provides gas and electricity to millions of homes and businesses. It continues to develop new and better ways of making energy, including renewables like wind farms, biomass and marine, while also striving to help customers use less energy and keep bills down.
Operational Excellence is a major transformation programme within the company, designed to create a new better way of working across all of Customer Operations, improve the quality and effectiveness of every single process and interaction with customers.
The Navigators will have experience in recognised improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, in order to assist in the deployment waves of the Operational Excellence programme working in 14 week cycles across the Customer Operation`s sites.
The Role
lead elements of local deployment as assigned by the Stream Lead
perform diagnosis with managers and advisors observe, question and recognise opportunities
redesign and optimise processes creating measurable £benefit and/or positive customer satisfaction (NPS) delta
support implementation of new designs and new working practises
coach Team Managers to deploy and use tools
build and share knowledge
The Candidate
consultancy style who will be highly credible with the local teams to bring about desired change
influencing skills in working with the process owners, managers and staff
business acumen and ability to understand performance reports, basic statistics and opportunities
strong implementation, change management and coaching skills
problem solving skills ideally with Lean and/or Six Sigma (or similar) background
aptitude to apply the full Operational Excellence toolkit
ideally experience in the Energy sector with a broad knowledge of the different parts of business organisations and how they work together
The successful candidate will be required to work from any of the company`s locations across the UK for extended periods and with regular and repeated stopovers.
