I’m working for a client based in the Warrington area searching for a on-site power converter engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for a Power Converters Onsite Engineer the team, the power converters engineer will participate in the installation, commissioning, and operation of switching power converters, high-power and high-voltage systems in the LIGHT proton therapy accelerator our main site in the northwest!
As power converters onsite engineer, reporting to the Senior Power Converters Site Engineer, he/she has to coordinate or participate in all the tests needed to bring the equipment into operation in due time and he/she should be able to carry-out high-precision measurement campaigns in the fields of: EMC, electromagnets magnetic field mapping, high-current, and high-voltage following established procedures and tools
 
Responsibilities
 

• Experience with electrical installations. (Essential)
• Experience with high-power and high-voltage systems. (Essential)
• Experience performing high-bandwidth and high-precision measurements (Desirable)
• previous experience performing RF measurements. (Desirable)
• Previous experience in the field of EMC. (Desirable)
• Previous experience in the field of magnetic field measurements (Desirable)

 
Benefits

• 40 hour week, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, 8% pension, private healthcare (optional) after 3 month probationary covering spouse and kids up to age 30 unmarried and death in service 3x salary
