Nursery Deputy Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £32,400 per year

Vacancy: Nursery Deputy Manager

Location: Bedford

Salary: £30,000 – £32,400(dependant on experience)

Hours/days: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week

Duties:

* As Deputy Manager you will be required to step up when the Manager isn’t there, you will be accountable and will maintain the highest standard of service.

* Managing the junior staff including Room Managers, Senior Room Managers, coaching them to ensure you get the best out of your team

* As a key worker, you will ensure every individual children’s needs are met

* You will be expected to speak up against practises that don’t support safeguarding or our core values

* Work as a pair with the manager to get the best out of the nursery

* Liaise and build relationships with the parents, resolving any complaints or concerns as efficiently and quickly as possible

* Be able to identify any SEN/ASL needs and support parents accordingly

* Promote and maintain the highest standard of care

* Utilise the nurseries planning observation and assessment procedure

* Aim high in visits, audits from authorities such as Ofsted

Requirements:

* Ideally 3-5 years of experience working in a Nursery

* NNEB or BTEC NAT Dip in Childcare or NVQ Level 3 or SVQ

* 1 year of a supervisor role is preferred but not essential

* Passion to work in early years
