Deputy Nursery Manager

Shiraka Ltd are currently recruiting for a Nursery Deputy Manager to join our client in, Walworth, South East London. This is a full time role working 40 hours a week between the office and the main room. The opening times are 0800-1800 and the settings is closed at Christmas and Bank Holidays. 

If you are an experienced Room Leader and feel you would like to take a new challenge as a Nursery Deputy Manager then this could be the opportunity for you. To qualify for this role, you need Level 3 Qualification in Early Years and previous experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or a Nursery Room Leader.

Deputy Nursery Manager requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ post qualification experience
• Previous senior or Deputy experience in a Nursery Setting
• Minimum Level 3 early years qualification or equivalent
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS
• Empathetic, caring and friendly
• Experience of SEND
• Leader

Deputy Nursery Manager Duties:

• To oversee the efficient and safe running of the setting
• To assist in coordinating rotas
• To maintain staff:child ratios at all times
• To contribute to the induction process for new and promoted staff
• To develop strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, children
