We are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor for a brand new, exciting opening in Southall. This opening is due to the continuous growth of our customer – a leading manufacturer in the UK, supplying many of the top retailers across the country.

As Transport Supervisor you will be responsible for a fleet of 8x HGV 2 vehicles and the warehouse – and be accountable for the despatch of customers’ orders, following operational processes, and adherence to legislative and organisational procedures around transport and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities: 

To lead, coach, mentor and develop the team to build and continuously improve the service-focussed delivery operation 

To Take full responsibility for the issuing and communication of daily deliveries including briefings based on previous day’s results and expectations for current day’s workload using KPI indicators and measurements

Confirmation of arrival, unloading, loading and departure times

Ensure the Outbase’s Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Maintain continuous and effective communication via business platform tools, email, telephone etc

Manage staff rotas, holidays and arrange temporary spot-hire for unplanned absences
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience of transport management

HGV 2 licence

Transport Managers CPC

Highly motivated 

Customer service orientated

Strong man-management skills
Shifts & Benefits:
Sunday-Thursday operation

Shift patterns 10pm-6am

40 hour a week contract

Salary 45-55K basic (depending on experience)
