Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year
BRC are recruiting for a Night Housing Management Worker on behalf of a well-respected Housing Association to start on Thursday 26th March on a 3 month temporary contract. You will be required to work on a rolling rota consisting of 3 nights on follwed by 3 nights off (shifts: 8pm-8:30am)
Working from a Community Hub in Cardiff, you will assist with providing services to customers within a 22 bed homeless hostel.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:
o You will be required to deliver high quality housing management service to customers living in accommodation services during the evenings
o Provide administrative support to the Project Manager in dealing with rent arrears and the enforcement process in accordance with the licence / tenancy agreement and in line with organisational procedures
o Monitor Housing Benefit payments and take action as required, including liaising with the Housing Benefit department and Community Link Workers
o Report repairs and maintenance issues
o Monitor the repairs and maintenance service the accommodation services receive to ensure it is appropriate and timely
o Monitor services delivered through external and internal contractors and report any concerns as they arise to the Project Manager to enable a prompt resolution
o Responsible for accurately maintaining the services databases and providing reports in line with Key Performance Measures and Indicators
o Support the Team Leader in managing and administering the referral process, waiting list and allocations to ensure voids are kept to a minimum and customers / referring partners are kept well informed
o Provide administrative support to the sign up process for new customers, ensuring new residents and customers are inputted on to the organisations IT systems
To be considered for this role you must have:
o A strong understanding of supported housing and have worked within a front line support capacity; ideally within a homeless hostel
o Strong administrative and IT skills
