Night Care Assistant

Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year

The Role

The role of a care assistant is to support our customer’s residents who have either learning disabilities and or dementia living within residential care homes. Every day is different so be sure you can multitask are passionate and ready to be hands-on. Most importantly you must be a great team player.

The role involves a lot of different responsibilities such as

* Supporting with personal care

* You may be required to support with dressing and undressing

* Supporting washing the individual’s

* Supporting brushing teeth or denture

* Assisting into or out of bed/ Hoisting

* Supporting with meals / or feeding

* Helping the service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including incontinence, help in the use of aids, and personal equipment.

* Emotional Support: talking, and sharing some laughs makes all the difference to someone’s day, in addition, you will or maybe excepted to carry out the following:

* Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of service users through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and other recreations.

* Household chores

* Make and change beds, tidy rooms and do light cleaning, empty commodes

* Any similar activities specified in any agreed Care Plan for the service user

Other duties as may reasonably be required

You may be required to complete written daily notes and or complete recording forms, you may be involved in reporting and attending hand over meetings.

* Good communication skills both verbal and written.

* Empathetic/Kind, Enthusiastic, Hardworking, Honest/reliable and trustworthy

* No experience required as full training is provided
