**Network Team Leader – Manchester – Remote Working**
My client, a leading organisation, currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Team Leader, to join their established but rapidly expanding Tech Hub based in Manchester.
Although the role is based in Manchester, this position would offer Remote Working.
Overview
As the Network Team Leader you will be tasked with leading, motivating and developing a team of highly skilled network engineers who are responsible for the maintenance of a complex, multi-site/multi data centre environment. You will help foster an inspiring team environment with an open and honest communication culture within both the immediate team and across the wider business.
Role profile
* To be responsible for the Network Team rostering, development and performance, ensuring the team works in alignment with frameworks and service management processes
* Ensuring the team is fully equipped with the tools and knowledge to investigate, diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents and fulfil technical requests for all infrastructure/systems to SLA
* Leading mission critical infrastructure operations ensuring service excellence. This includes responsibility for the key disciplines of service management and service delivery; incident, problem, change, transition, configuration management, asset and obsolescence management, service continuity, availability, capacity and reporting
* Work collaboratively with other teams, stakeholders and decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology and process solutions
* Responsible on an ongoing basis to update and maintain the network estate in line with agreed lifecycle and vendor roadmaps to a defined and supported level
* Ensure that activities and escalations are in line with both customer and service level agreements.
* Participate in root cause analysis for complex major incidents and escalated faults
Desirable Skills:
* Design, deployment and support of Fortinet firewalls including FortiManager, FortiAnalyser & FortiNAC.
* Design, deployment and support of Cisco switches and routers.
* Design, deployment and support of Meraki security devices and wireless devices.
* The ability to complete maintenance and firmware upgrade activities on the technologies listed above.
* Knowledge and understanding of Infrastructure Security (ACLs, ACS, VRFs, Vlans).
* Knowledge and understanding of network management tools (SNMP, Solarwinds, PRTG).
* Knowledge and understanding of MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN and resilient WAN technologies.
* Knowledge and understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
