Job Description:
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to step into a vital role within this highly respected, market leading consultancy.

The National Business Development Director will lead on identifying, qualifying, and progressing new sales opportunities to a successful conclusion, working with the Directors and with Group Sales teams as appropriate. You will also work closely with the MD on developing the overall growth strategy, including acquisitions.
Person Specification:
We are seeking an experienced professional who can work within the local government sector to continue to drive success through strengthening existing relationships and winning new clients.
You will have experience of securing higher volume business deals at around the £100,000 value all the way up to more complex solutions of circa £15m.
While innovation will continue to be critical, you will also understand the nature of the local government market and the pace with which it is willing to move. You will be sensitive to this and the balance between executive and member based decision making.
The ideal candidate is likely to have experience selling large, complex services into the local government market. Ideally this will have been complimented by wider experience in other markets from which you can draw ideas that can be tailored appropriately.
You will be a fully rounded sales professional from pipeline generation through bid and solution phases to leading a sale and subsequent account development, including the leadership and motivation of other colleagues involved throughout the process.
If you think you have the right skills and experience and would like the opportunity to exercise them in this market leading business, then we would be keen to hear from you.
