Mechanical Manager

We are working with a specialist air conditioning contractor who offers the end user and developer clients a full range of building services.
Currently looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Manager to complement the specialist air conditioning expertise of their colleagues by taking responsibility for the mechanical aspects of commercial and industrial projects of up to £1 million value.

The role:
• To be actively involved in the specification, design and quoting of tailored
mechanical services solutions to a wide variety of customers in all industries.
• Project manage mechanical installations from initial order to ordering equipment to commissioning and follow-up service;
• Provide tailored advice and guidance on all possible solutions to meet customer specifications.
• Effective customer relationship management and business development.
• Management of sub-contractors, ensuring compliance, cost management and quality work delivered on time.
• Provide input and interpretation of mechanical design and tender documentation.
• Liaise with branch colleagues to ensure new installations are delivered to the highest standard.
• Visit sites as necessary and provide technical support where needed.

The candidate:
• Extensive mechanical building services design / development / project
management experience with a good understanding of industry standards.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of working with end users, developers and sub-contractors.
• By providing a service to complement the refrigeration and air conditioning expertise of colleagues, the successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and with initiative.
• Excellent technical skills and willing to provide hands on involvement.
• High financial and commercial awareness and able to manage large budgets and resources.
• IT Literate in all Microsoft packages.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong business
relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues and contractors.
• A thorough understanding of and ability to deliver outstanding and continuous customer service.
• Must have a full, valid driving licence.
