Mechanical Fitters

Salary: £34,080 – £41,400 per year

We are currently recruiting for two permanent mechanical Fitters for a client in the Aberdeen area. This may suit applicants from a rig mechanic background. 39 hour core week with an enhanced rate thereafter. Manual handling/lifting work will be involved.

The main purpose of the role will be to:-

• Strip down, Inspection and Reassembly of Heat Exchangers.
• Undertake Hydrotesting.
• Flange Management – Manual and Hydraulic Torquing and Tension.
• Tube Expansion and Plugging.
• General Mechanical/Pipe Fitting Duties.

Person Specification

Experience

• and knowledge of repairing all types of Heat Exchangers.
• Mechanical Fitting/Maintenance background.
• Experience of major petrochemical/refinery shutdowns.
• Knowledge of Shell, Tube, and Plate Heat Exchangers, Motor Coolers, Fin Fans and Radiators.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Willingness to work both onshore & offshore as and when required.

Desirable but not essential

• Experience of working on COMAH Tier 1 sites/Offshore Installations preferred.
• TMJ 10, 18 and 19 certifications.
• ECITB – CCNSG Safety Passport or IOSH Working Safely.
• Recognised HSE qualification / IOSH.
