My client is a well-established company located just off J28 / M1 who supply high quality castings to the Automotive, Marine, Oil and Gas and General Engineering industries.

Due to an increase in business, they are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join the team with an immediate start. 

The Role

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant and machinery in a cast iron processing environment.

Duties include:

• Performing planned maintenance
• Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns
• Fault finding.
• Working in diverse areas i.e., casting, furnaces & shot blasting equipment.

The Candidate

• Apprentice trained or equivalent Mechanical Fitter.
• Have experience in a Foundry / heavy engineering environment. 
• Be able to work unsupervised as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
• Be able to work overtime to meet the needs of business.
• Have the ability to work efficiently to ensure all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner.

HOURS & PAY:

Double Day Shift – 6am-2pm / 1pm-9pm

£14.42 phr
