Maintenance Fitter

Position: Maintenance Fitter – mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic

Sector: Engineering, maintenance, process plant, yellow goods

Salary: c £28,800, pension, holidays etc

Shifts: Days only

Location: Medway

My client is a blue chip organisation with multiple sites throughout the UK. As a result of a continued growth in business they are now looking to add to their team by the addition of an additional Maintenance Fitter

You will be required to undertake workshop and field based maintenance, service and repair of a variety of plant and equipment.

You will need to have an understanding and experience of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics. Any experience of motors, engines and gearboxes is beneficial. Welding skills are extremely useful. Powered access equipment or rail sector experience would be fantastic.

You will probably be apprentice trained and will hold qualifications in plant maintenance to NVQ 2 as a minimum (City and Guilds or BTEC are also more than acceptable)

As some of the work may be field based, a Full UK car driving licence is essential.
