£28,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical design engineer to join an engineering organisation working on a varied product range for various applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design engineer to progress their career. Their products are manufactured into plastic injection moulded solutions.

Mechanical Design Engineering Position:
The responsibilities of the job include:
– Designing and developing new products and concepts
– Sustaining existing products
– Supervising technicians
– Work to industry quality standards
– Work in a cross functional team
Mechanical Engineer/ Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer / Mechanical Development / Product Design Engineer Qualifications:
Requirements for the Mechanical Design Engineer Position:
* Proven 3D solid modelling using Solidworks/Pro/e (1yr+)
* Product design for small to medium volume manufacturing (1k to 50k PA)
* Product Design
* Injection moulding and die-casting design
* Machined part design (milling/turning)
* Rapid prototyping techniques
* Work in a production drawing office environment (BOMs, ECRs and documentation)
* Material selection
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience
* BEng or BSc or HND in mechanical engineering
