M&E or Construction Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Pyramid8 is delighted to be supporting a local building services group, that’s in its third decade of trading. As an established firm and a leader in its industry, its portfolio boasts several high street retails brands throughout the U.K. Due to business growth, they are seeking an M&E or Construction Quantity Surveyor to join the team in Wakefield.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will prepare preliminary cost estimates and plans of development projects. You will also prepare formal contracts and financial statements at regular intervals during each project, including management of sub-contractor accounts. In addition, you will be actively involved in tendering for new business, completing tender documents and relevant follow ups. You will also work closely with Project Managers to complete projects in the most efficient and effective way.

To be considered, you will ideally have experience within a retail environment, however any construction background will be considered. In addition, you will have attained RICS or HND in Building Surveying. You will have high attention to detail, be commercially aware and excellent with numbers and calculations. This is a fast-paced role, where you will need to adapt and prioritise your workload accordingly.

In return, you will receive a competitive basic salary in line with your experience, along with a pension, health cover and 22 + Bank Holidays annual leave. This role is office based, however with occasional site visits, so it would be beneficial if you hold a full driving licence.
