Production Operator

Our Client, one of the world’s largest companies in manufacturing cylinders are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join their team.

Purpose

100% hands-on role supporting the manufacturing of the product to the right quality, cost and specification.

Responsibility

To undergo formal training to achieve the level of competency required, working to the expected run rates in a safe manner.

Core Duties

* To report any concerns including safety, quality, breakdowns, downtime, support needed and areas where improvements could be made to Team Leader/Senior Operator or Shift Manager

* To ensure 100% run rates are being achieved. Where run rates are not being achieved highlight to Shift Manager with explanation and suggested countermeasures

* To ensure you are working in a safe manner at all times, this includes ensuring you are wearing the appropriate P.P.E and reporting any non-compliance or issues with machinery to Shift Manager or Senior Operator

* To ensure timesheets are filled in correctly on an hourly basis where appropriate, paying particular attention to the detail recorded for downtime

* Carrying out any other Production Operator duties specific to your unit

Candidate Experience

* Previous production experience
* CNC press operator experience
* Some understanding of manufacturing principles
* Ability to carry out Manufacturing process checks
* Good understanding of both oral and written English
* Good Safety awareness of self and others
* The ability to extract information from technical drawings and specifications.
* Previous shift working experience
* Be able to undertake manual handling
* Able to commit to reasonable overtime requests with appropriate notice

The salary for this role is discussed during the interview process and is negotiable depending on the candidate.
