Manufacturing Operative

Salary: £14.4 – £16.2 per hour

Our client, a great family run business, based in Fareham, seeks applicants for a new position.

They are open on background, but as a minimum you must come from an engineering background, and have some knowledge of 2D (or ideally 3D) CAD systems, for example, CATIA, AutoCAD, Solidworks etc.

This really a great opportunity, and as training is provided, they are flexible and open minded on the applicants bacground.

Once on board you will be trained to:

Be a fully fledged sheet metal estimator / CNC programmer

Duties will then include:
1. Programming CNC punch presses and laser cutter using Radan sheet metal CAD/CAM software. Training will be given on Radan CAD/CAM software but a sound knowledge 2D CAD is required (3D advantageous).
2. Estimating sheet metal work projects. Training will be given in using our production management estimating software.
3. Contact with suppliers and customers by telephone and office based meetings will be necessary at times.
4. You may need to be prepared to help on the shop floor at busy times.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with a busy family owned sheet metal manufacturing company.
Money is dependent on the candidate’s relevant experience but would be in the region of £14.4 – £16.2 per hour to start with and then reviewed after 12 weeks.

Hours

39.5 hours a week.
0745 – 1645 Monday to Thursday, early finish on Friday lunchtimes.
