Manufacturing Manager
My client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager to manage multiple manufacturing cells
This is an excellent role with a multinational Aerospace company that supplies specialised mechanical aircraft systems.
Primary Purpose of Job
To lead and manage the Manufacturing Cells ensuring that key performance indicators are achieved therefore making certain that customer satisfaction demands are consistently met.
Key Tasks
• To maintain and develop all areas of responsibility ensuring productivity increases year on year.
• Liase with the other Module Leaders ensuring that the business interests are met.
• Develop and maintain systems to ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality requirements.
• Generation of monthly reports highlighting areas that require improvement accompanied with an appropriate list documenting actions required.
• Implement and maintain suitable measures of performance that will reflect accurately the performance of the Manufacturing Cells in key critical areas and also use data as a reflection of improvements.
• Liaise with other Module Leaders to ensure a consistent standard and method is displayed.
• Manage the continuous improvement activities including Kaizens and projects. Use the Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator, your Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer to drive the process.
• Maintain discipline and compliance to the company handbook at all times.
• Ensure that any training requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Ensure that capacity/scheduling analysis is carried out on a regular basis (in conjunction with the Master Production Scheduler) and appropriate steps are taken in relationship to the data created so bottlenecks are eliminated.
• Manage the day to day tasks of your imbedded Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer to suite your module needs.
• Any other tasks considered commensurate with your role by your Manager.
