Managing Director Electronic Industrial Components

We require an experienced, hands on Managing Director to drive and develop our European operation. As a global manufacturer/distributor of electronic components we are looking to continue the recent double digit growth. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial background, with the ability to create and implement a strategy for growth.

Salary: £84,000 – £96,000 OTE; £80,000 – £90,000

Benefits: Car Allowance (£650p/m), 25 days holiday, Pension, Healthcare

Job specification: Managing Director – Electronic / Industrial Components

As Managing Director you will be required to control and manage all aspects of the European operation, ensuring the maximisation of profit and growth in line with the global strategy.

Responsibilities include:
* Develop and Implement short, medium and long term Sales & Marketing strategies.
* Plan, devise and co-ordinate promotions of new and existing product lines to achieve maximum market penetration.
* Work with the sales team to manage and drive key accounts.
* Analyse and appraise the current standing of the operation to ensure that current objectives are met.
* Engage with current and potential customers to gain a true understanding of their requirements and create visibility for the business.
* Lead, motivate and drive a team of circa 25 – with 6 direct reports.

Requirements: Managing Director – Electronic / Industrial Components

To be successful in your application your background and experience will include strong commercial skills, with a proven track record in developing / growing businesses:

Essential:
* Experience of driving a manufacturing or distribution business with a £4Million+ turnover.
* A proven track record in developing and implement sales and marketing strategies with engineered products.
* Comfortable with hands-on direct involvement in dealing with issues.
* Knowledge and experience of working in or with a manufacturing business.
* Experience of director level positions, where your development has come from a technical bias.
* Commutable to the Northamptonshire office.

Desirable:
* Mechanical engineering background.
* Associated with electronic/industrial components.
* MBA or Business degree holder.
