Management Accountant / Finance Partner

Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

This two school Trust in North London is seeking an accomplished Management Accountant/Finance Partner to support one of their academies in the provision and direction of their budget spend.

Reporting to the Trust Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the production of robust accounts, reporting on cashflow, monthly budget expenditure, forecasting, capital spend and scenario planning to support the school’s growth strategy.

You will also be responsible for the payroll of 125 staff, liaising with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure any queries are dealt with efficiently. Working closely with the Head Teacher and School Business Manager to implement efficient and transparent financial controls and support them in their understanding of financial performance, forecasting and budget management.

Ideally, you will be fully qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or CIPFA, coupled with first hand experience in managing and reporting on budget spend. You will be highly proficient on systems, the Trust has recently implemented Xero.

Previous experience withi education is desirable, although applicants from the public and commercial sector are welcome to apply, with multi site reporting experience.

On a personal note, you will be a confident individual with excellent verbal and written skills as you will be presenting monthly information to the Senior Leadership Team and to Governors. You will be a natural team player who can build good relationships quickly and effectively with the integrity in delivering credible financial support and guidance.
