Location: South West Region covering Dorset / Hampshire / Wiltshire

About the role:
The Building Supervisor will be responsible for carrying out after-sales maintenance, such as rectifying faults and repairs to new occupation apartments in McCarthy and Stone’s many developments throughout Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
The position is a practical role and daily tasks would include painting and decorating, plastering, basic plumbing, various carpentry jobs, minor ground works and occasionally assisting or supervising other specialist subcontractors.
An important part of the role is engaging with both in-house employees and subcontractors ensuring that performance targets are met, that homeowners are receiving a quality service and customer satisfaction is high.
About you:
A trade background is preferable with demonstrated ability to carry out work across a range of trades and the abilitly to assess and communicate actions required.
This position requires daily contact with McCarthy and Stone’s home owners, other clients and employees, so excellent communication skills, tact and diplomacy are as important as the necessary practical skills and experience.
You must be proactive and disciplined in yourapproach to meet targets as the position requires self-management as each supervisor controls their own diary movements. Computer literacy is vital in this role including the ability to use Outlook and Word.
Regular travel is required in this role. You must have a full, valid and clean driving license.
