Role
Working reactively and proactively to maintain and repair equipment across manufacturing and logistics areas of the site whilst maintaining process capability and reliability to achieve optimum availability of machinery, equipment, related plant and services.

• To respond to breakdowns and carry out planned preventative maintenance work over three shift rotation to provide support around the clock.
• Responsible for a wide range of maintenance duties. This includes maintenance of assembly/process machinery and general site facilities, heating, lighting etc.
• Health and safety compliance of all engineering related activity.
• Upkeep of department CMMS system to ensure accuracy of data and close out of maintenance activities maintained.
• Attendance and participation of any training required to support equipment maintenance and site improvements.
• Support the department strategy to improve reliability and uptime and drive to world class maintenance through department KPI’s and improvement culture.
• To provide full support to comprehensive root cause analysis on all major breakdowns.
• To attend monthly briefing sessions with colleagues to ensure team are kept fully up to date with company & departmental development.
• To ensure the working environment is of a high standard and all health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to, including risk assessments and accident investigations.

Qualifications / Training

• Time Served apprentice with a relevant trade – Electrical or mechanical
• PC Skills
• A clear thinker with excellent analytical skills, problem solving and decision making abilities, supported by a good working knowledge of the operation.
• Working knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance activity.
• Working knowledge of machine maintenance and operation.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present ideas and proposals clearly, inspire colleagues and promote positive teamwork.
• Detailed understanding of modern Problem solving techniques
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing systems

• £28,000 – £29,000
