Electrician’s Mate

We are recruiting for an electricians mate to work on a mobile basis covering maintenance operations in the Preston / Chorley / Manchester area. The role will be assisting maintenance electricians in the PPMs and reactive works plus small work projects to retail and commercial facilities. A nightshift may be included later in contract.

On Offer:
The position is a temporary ongoing role paying circa £26,000 per year. Day work Mon-Fri with the possibility of a shift system in the future. Overtime available after 8 hours per day. Early start early finish. 6/7am start.
The shift will then transfer to a night shift:
Before 8 hours: £13.96
After 8 hours: £15.75

Description:
The role is looking after the low end maintenance of electrical plant and lighting to commercial and retail facilities, this will include:
– lighting and emergency lighting checks
– lamping
– project small works installation
– handyperson duties and fabric maintenance
– building services upkeep
– assisting and working with qualified engineers
– possible mechanical overlap such as AC filter changes etc.

Requirements:
Must have electrical experience
Partially qualified undergoing training
maintenance experience and willingness to complete general handyperson tasks
pro-active attitude
Ideally mobile with a valid driving license
