Reading – Large Site – Brand New Contract!

2 week rota shift pattern, 07:00-16:00
£37,000-£40,000 + Overtime + 1 in 4 call out
Due to a new contract win, One of the UK’s leading maintenance companies are looking for an Electrically biased Engineer to join their team of engineers based on a large furniture store in Reading, our client can offer imminent progression opportunities as well as further training/qualifications.
The successful Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all reactive and pre planned maintenance on site and integrate in to a team of engineers. They will ideally have previous experience with electrical fault finding and repairs, as well as good knowledge of writing reports and dealing with paperwork.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
- Have experience as a facilities maintenance engineer in a previous role
- Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
- Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
- Carry out modifications and installations when required
- Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers
- Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard
- Liaise with client/management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum NVQ/City and Guilds level 3 qualification in relevant engineering maintenance (electrical)
- Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment
- Be flexible towards work & carry out duties that may not be specific to your trade
- The successful post holder must be qualified to BS7671 (Current Edition of the IEE Regulations)
- Have at least 5 years associated trade experience post apprenticeship.
- Be able to partake in a call-out rota (1 in 4)
