Are you seeking a new role that matches your career development and aspirations? Well, read on. My client has secured some major manufacturing projects and have an orderbook bursting at the seams. They urgently need to fill this new vacancy for a Logistics Planner within their planning department.

Role Profile

The Logistics Planner will be responsible for the planning of components to ensure that work is planned and executed on time through the shop floor.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities for the Logistics Planner are:

  • Take ownership for a unique set of part numbers and ensure that the ERP factory programme is managed to achieve internal and external Customer requirements.
  • Understand load/capacity plans for a unique set of parts and ensure communication with leaders.
  • Build internal and external customer relationships regarding delivery plans and progress for a set of parts.
  • Own and develop lead-times for a unique set of part numbers ensuring that they reflect current manufacturing practices.
  • Establish line of balance plans sufficient to highlight shortages and identify and establish recovery plans.
  • To provide statistical evidence of performance and trend data to enable improvement, working towards 100% delivery on time.
  • Encourage lead-time reduction providing supportive evidence to help assist decision making.
  • A key feature of this role will be clear and concise communication on what is required and when, as well as the raising, documenting and resolution of actions necessary to achieve the overall plan.

  • Strong knowledge of the Syteline ERP system
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Previous aviation / aerospace manufacturing experience and / or technical experience or equivalent.
