Logistics & Customer Service Agent

Salary: £26,000 – £27,600 per year

We are partnering with a leading Freight Forwarding company who are looking for an Logistics & Customer Service Agent to join their team based in Luton.

Reporting to the general manager, you will be overseeing logistical procedures and making sure customer requirements are consistently met.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring customers’ needs are always met to their satisfaction.
• Processing shipments using internal systems
• Ensuring personal and station KPIs are consistently met
• Complete reports for internal and customer reference
• Ensuring the team consistently operates within budget by achieving best market rates
• Oversee logistical procedures, always making sure the best delivery solution is applied
• Recognise any service improvements and escalate to line manager for implementation

Skills Required;

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Hazardous goods training would be advantageous
• Strong desire for continuous improvement
• Strong team-player with excellent interpersonal skills
• 2+ years of Freight Forwarding experience or industry knowledge is desirable
• 5 GCSEs at Grade C (including Maths and English) or above is desirable
