Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator

THE COMPANY:

Calibrate Engineering, part of the Brewster Pratap Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator to join the team at a market leading business based in North Yorkshire. This is an exciting new opportunity and will be based at the site in Boroughbridge, easily accessible from York, Harrogate and Thirsk.

THE JOB:

As Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator you will be responsible for the control of all inbound and outbound materials to ensure the most effective service is provided to customers
Reporting into the Warehouse Manager you will ensure that all paperwork from good receipt notes to product labels are correctly and accurately completed and archived to allow traceability
Booking daily exports of outgoing stock to countries such as Ghana, Tanzania and Egypt will mean that you will need to be familiar with export paperwork and procedures
The transportation of dangerous goods will mean that familiarity with ADR regulations is preferable.
You will be expected to work closely with the Warehouse Operatives to ensure that orders are processed in a timely manner. In busy periods you will assist operatives in the picking and packing of orders
This position will also involve a basic level of purchasing, including stationary and PPE. This will be done by building up and maintaining relationships with suppliers will mean you are able to request quotation and negotiate prices
The successful incumbent will have previous experience of working within a similar role that deals with processing high volumes of paperwork
