As a Learning Support Assistant this ‘Good’ South East London Primary School is the ideal place for you to begin to develop an understanding of the rewarding work of an SEN Teacher, Psychologist or Primary Teacher.

Person Specification

For this Learning Support Assistant vacancy it is important that all applicants are graduates aspiring to start a career in Primary Teaching, SEN or Educational Psychologist. In addition you must be a real team player with a flexible approach and a flair for working with a diverse range of students. Any candidates who have an understanding of EAL needs and would love the chance to help run extracurricular activities would do well to apply.

About the Role

This Learning Support Assistant post will involve lots of language support due to the school’s high numbers of EAL pupils. However this is only part of your job, you will also have the chance to support pupils pastorally and make sure they are adapting well to the school, in addition to teaching assistant duties helping teachers in classes across the school. Such a wide range of daily tasks and duties is highly desirable for graduates as it allows them to develop various skills that will put them ahead of the rest of their peers.
