Bim Manager – London & South East – Major Contractor

BIM MANAGER – London – £66,000 + Package

To manage the implementation and delivery of Building Information Modelling within London and South East at both project and business levels. Champion the cultural and process changes that are essential to adoption of BIM technologies and new ways of working.

The Role

Recruitment of appropriately skilled BIM Coordinators/BIM Project Managers for deployment on projects and tenders.
Functionally manage a number of dedicated BIM coordinators/BIM Project managers at project level. Actively develop skills and capabilities of team and ensure deployment is appropriate to project and business needs.
Understanding and capability in relation the various pieces of commonly used software and technology.
Directly interface with other parts of the organisation to promote best knowledge.
Market BIM capability as necessary to external clients and consultants.
Champion the benefits of BIM internally to existing staff and teams to ensure the necessary culture change is continued.
Ensure continual improvement of integrated management system
Stay abreast of new and future technologies.
Develop evidence based cost/benefit data in relation to current projects to validate investment that may be required.

Requirements

Proficient in the use of software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage and Solibri model checker, BIM 360 Field, BIM 360 Glue.
Familiar with data exchange formats such as DGN, DWG, NWD, IFC and COBie
Excellent report writing, presentation and public speaking skills
Have a good working knowledge of industry standards such as PAS 1192-2: 2013 and BS 1192: 2007
Previous practical experience of 3D modeling, embedded data, collaboration and coordination software.
Relevant degree or equivalent
Minimum of 4 year recent experience in a building/ MEP construction role
Have an understanding of the construction industry in the context of BIM.
