Salary: £26,000 per year
New exciting Support Worker positions have become available in the Cambridge and Huntingdon area. This is a permanent position that offers a 37 hours contract. The role involves working between various services around the Cambridge and Huntingdon area with children and young people with learning and/or physical disabilities. The role also requires travelling around the Cambridge and Huntingdon area to take the young people out for activities. The annual salary of is between £26,000per year depending on the shift worked. The position requires passionate support workers that are able to work early, late and/or weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a flexible nature.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting with daily needs (feeding, dressing etc.)
* Assisting with daily activities (sports, shopping etc.)
* Contribute to the smooth running and creation of a good atmosphere within the best interests of the service users
* Maintain a high level of motivation and productivity
* Provide supervision and attention to residents through direct care as required
* Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy
* Build and maintain good relationships with the service users and other members of staff whilst maintaining high levels of professionalism
* Do everything possible to uphold a safe, clean environment for residents
* Learn about service user’s individual needs and requirements
