Learning & Development Business Partner

Salary: £54,000 per year

Our business continues to evolve, and we are now seeking a Learning & Development Business Partner to join our People & Culture Partnering team, and shape this new role supporting the Sopra Steria Sectors, Consulting and Corporate functions. You will be curious and customer-obsessed, providing expert learning and development guidance to the business. You will deliver engaging and valuable people development solutions to support the achievement of our strategic objectives and increase engagement of our people. This role will suit someone who has worked in a learning and development function and is now ready to work more closely with the business in a partnering role.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work with the business to develop and deploy a cohesive learning and development solutions to help achieve strategic objectives
• Act as a business lead for advice on learning and development options to business customers, ensuring that the delivered solution is within the business areas agreed budget
• Own our professional development programmes through the learning and development lifecycle, from creation of appropriate programmes to meet specific business needs, making sure that our programmes are delivered in innovative and engaging ways
• Support our corporate objective to increase learning time and ensuring the e-learning portfolio is well understood and utilised
• Own the Corporate People and Manager induction programmes, keeping them fresh and ensuring they meet the needs of the business
• To build a network of proven and preferred suppliers to make sure that we constantly deliver quality learning interventions, in a cost-effective way

What you’ll bring:

• Learning and development or learning programme management experience, ideally gained within a large corporate environment
• Passion and curiosity for Learning and Development, being aware of the latest research
• Some business partnering experience and ability to work with customers to develop learning solutions, the ability to build long-term relationships and influence accordingly at all levels
• Experience working with Training Providers
• Content design in performance management programmes
• An excellent communicator who is comfortable and has experience of contributing to bids/proposals
• Able to take the strategic direction and translate into practical interventions that can be delivered
• Constantly strives to raise the bar and create new standards

It would be great if you had:

• Digitally savvy and experience creating interactive workbooks, create videos and podcasts
• Developed and led management development programmes
• Training delivery experience
