CONTRACT Lead Web Developer / Team Leader, ASP.Net, C#, Portsmouth, to £480 per day
Our FTSE 100 Financial Services Insurance client currently seeks an experienced ASP.Net / C# Lead Web Developer / Team Leader. Reporting to the System Manager and based out of our clients Portsmouth offices the successful candidate will develop Windows and Web based applications to meet the requirements of our clients business using Microsoft technologies. This is a lead / team leader position so the mentoring and ongoing development of the team will also form part of this role.

The successful Lead Wed Developer will:
Design and implement Windows and Web based applications that satisfy business requirements using C# and SQL Server within the agreed timescales.
Document these applications.
Manage a small team of more junior staff and be responsible for their mentoring and ongoing development.
Establish a set of house standards with regards to code and development processes.
Facilitate the adoption of a Test Driven Development methodology by the team.
Provide support for the newly developed applications only.
The ideal Lead Developer Web Developer must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in C# / ASP.Net development.
Familiarity with web front end development technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript (not a web designer, but comfortable with using these technologies).
Previous experience in a lead or team leadership role.
Excellent English communication skills both written and oral.
Remuneration:
Day Rate: To £480per day on an initial 3 month contract however this is likely to be extended beyond the medium term. Please note that the last person placed with this organisation in a similar role has now been contracting with them for over two years!
