Lead Enterprise Architect

 

We need a Lead Enterprise Architect to spearhead the development of reusable enterprise application services, and drive adoption and integration within extensive organizational frameworks.

 

Pay between £69,869 – £89,995, up to 30.3% employer pension contributions worth over £20,000, hybrid working, and great work life balance. Includes flexi-time with up 3 extra days off a month.

 

Location

 

Your choice of Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, or Sheffield. We work a hybrid model: that means some time in an office, some time at home.

You’re an Experienced Enterprise Architect with the skills to contextualize cutting-edge concepts within DWP.

 

You will be a leader in our community and you’ll be a leading voice on Enterprise Architecture. You will develop, identify, and plan for the future the enterprise architecture of DWP, as well as nurturing and cultivating our future technical leaders.

 

Our Enterprise Architects are technology strategists that are responsible for digital transformation across a large complex environment.

 

You will lead on the definition of DWP’s enterprise architecture principles, vision and strategy. You’ll build strong relationships and can communicate well, for example in securing formal approval at Digital Design Authority and buy in at the most senior level.

 

 

DWP’s ecosystems are intricate and complex. We are in many ways a unique organisation, with a unique purpose. That means really interesting, and often difficult, architectural challenges.

You will work at a senior and strategic level to craft technology strategies which seamlessly align with DWP’s overarching business strategy, and which deliver for the millions of people that use our services.

 

 

 

Your Essential Skills:

  • Making strategic recommendations at CIO level, influencing Director level stakeholders in a large-scale corporate environment, building business cases for multi-million-pound investments and associated transformation roadmap planning.
  • Architecture Design and modelling techniques, tools, and standards.
  • Shaping and supporting technology initiatives, projects, programmes, and portfolios.
  • Governance activities to enable effective management and decision making.
  • Presenting to large technical audiences, and IT/Finance governance boards.

In return for your skills, we pay £69,869 – £89,995 per annum.

 

You’ll also get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 27.9% – 30.3% that could be worth over £23,555 in your pension pot each year.

 

Plus, a generous leave package starting at 26 days, rising over time to 31 days.
